After announcing a few weeks ago that she was expecting a baby with boyfriend Matthew Koma, Hilary Duff took to Instagram to share a very special moment: The 30-year-old actress and singer posted a clip from the couple's gender reveal party, featuring a slew of ecstatic family and friends firing off several confetti gender reveal cannons, announcing that there is a baby girl on the way.
“I can’t think of any other way to find out what was cooking in my belly than this… the anticipation was brutal but the payoff was huge!” Duff captioned the the clip. “I basically jumped 3 feet of the ground lol.”
Apparently, the party happened back on Mother's Day so that explains why she's been calling her baby a princess. She also once told Ryan Seacrest that she she loves having a son, but would love to have one girl and one boy.
"My sister has girls and I feel like I'm really girly," Duff told Seacrest. "But for the past six years I've bought monsters and trucks and planes and Luca's into all the boy stuff, so everything's blue and green and I was just ready for pink and purple stuff."
Now that she knows the sex of her baby and has one of each, it's time to start picking names! And what better way than with a confetti gender reveal.
